We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk and Assurance professional to join the Risk and Assurance team at a time when the organisation, and the industry, is experiencing significant growth, investment and transformation.

 

Reporting to the Director, Risk and Assurance you will be responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the team’s major outcomes in the areas of Risk Management, Assurance, Business Continuity, Compliance, Insurance, Fraud Control and Prevention, and Board and Group Executive Support.

What we're looking for

 

To thrive in this role, you'll need to have:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, business, economics, risk management or related fields.
  • Professional certifications are highly desirable (for example CPA, CA, CIA).
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas that the Risk and Assurance team has responsibility for delivering.
  • Experience and knowledge in supporting and influencing change.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience preparing and presenting papers to Executive teams, Audit and Risk Committees and Boards.
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders from different professional backgrounds at different levels of the organisation.

 

The role

 

  • Maintenance of a risk management framework that meets the requirements of ISO.
  • Performance of risk assessments and formulation of risk management plans and the provision of relevant risk reports to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a Strategic Assurance Plan (SAP), and related Annual Audit Plan (AAP),
  • Assist to maintain Silverchain’s national business continuity arrangements, such as the Crisis and Incident Management Plan.
  • Assist to maintain a system of processes and controls to manage and report on Silverchain’s fraud and corruption risks.
  • Assist to establish and maintain a compliance system (including framework) to assess, monitor and report on Silverchain’s compliance with its obligations.
  • Assist with the annual renewal of Silverchain’s insurance program.
  • Preparation of Briefing Notes and reports for Board, Audit and Risk Management Committee, Board Clinical Governance Committee and Group Executive.
