The Data Architect plays a strategic role in shaping the data foundations of Silverchain’s Digital Program - a multi-year transformation to deliver a national operational care platform powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365.  

Working across business, technical, vendor and Silverchain’s Data Strategy and Analytics team, the Data Architect will be responsible for designing, governing, and optimising the enterprise data architecture across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE), Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), Azure services, and modern low-code/no-code platforms for Silverchain’s Digital Program. This role provides assurance that program data is structured, secure, integrated, and aligned with business goals, leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem to enable analytics, reporting, and AI-driven insights. 

Operating within a hybrid agile delivery model, the Data Architect ensures that data architecture decisions are aligned to regulatory requirements, program objectives and enterprise strategy, ensuring and enabling a future-ready platform that supports Silverchain’s ambition to lead the future of home care.

Whatwe'relooking for 

To thrive in this role, you'll need to have:  

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Data, Information Technology or related discipline, or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Data Architect in a large-scale enterprise, government or whole-of-organisation architecture practice.  
  • Proven experience in data modelling and data modelling concepts, and experience with industry standard tooling, e.g. Erwin Data Modeler and equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise, software and data architecture frameworks and development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Azure data services:  
  • Microsoft Fabric 
  • Azure Data Factory 
  • Azure Synapse Analytics 
  • Azure Data Lake Storage 
  • Azure SQL / Cosmos DB 
  • Recent experience working with Dynamics 365 CE (Dataverse) and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including data models, integration, and reporting. 
  • Proficiency in Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) for no-code/low-code enablement. 
  • Strong understanding of data integration patterns (batch, streaming, APIs, event-driven)
  • Experience working in highly regulated, government and/or healthcare domains, including complying to relevant information security and interoperability standards. 

 

The role 

As a Data Architect:

 

  • Lead the definition and maturation of enterprise data architecture and capabilities in alignment with the company’s strategic vision and business and Digital Program objectives. 
  • Deliver thought leadership and provide expert subject matter expertise to senior executives, program leads and Digital Service counterparts. 
  • Establish the Digital Program’s data strategy, roadmap and migration approach for integrating Dynamics 365 CE and F&O with Azure data services and other existing OB systems/services. 
  • Align the Digital Program’s data and information scope to Align with legislative, compliance, cybersecurity and operational requirements by providing advice and input to a data storage and archiving strategy, including contributing to the definition of storage locations and archival approaches for legacy data, incorporating the use of Microsoft Fabric OneLake for operational and historical data. 
  • Support data migration decision-making by working with business stakeholders to assess legacy data relevance, quality, and value. Provide guidance on which data should be migrated, transformed, or excluded, and help determine when fresh data structures are more appropriate to meet future-state requirements. 
  • Own responsibility for all architecture artefacts relevant to data models, integration patterns, and reference architectures across Dataverse, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and related services within the Digital Program’s scope. 
  • Assess and assure robust data integration strategies between Dynamics 365 CE/F&O, third-party systems, and external data sources. 
  • Support the implementation of data lakes, warehouses, and modern analytics platforms for real-time and batch processing. 
  • Enforce, and where necessary support the development of data governance frameworks, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality standards. 
  • Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
