What we’re looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, providing a solid foundation in contemporary HR practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in an HR advisory capacity, with the ability to manage end-to-end employee relations and workplace matters with confidence and professionalism.
  • Strong, practical knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, and the interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements.
  • A proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders through clear, credible and commercially sound advice.
  • The confidence and judgement to navigate sensitive and complex issues with discretion, accuracy and a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience contributing to initiatives or projects that drive improvements in people practices, processes and organisational outcomes.

 

The role

In this role, you will provide practical, solutions-focused HR advice and support across a broad range of employee and workplace matters. You will work in close partnership with managers and employees to proactively address issues, mitigate risk, and ensure fair, consistent and well-informed decision-making.

 

As a HR Advisor:

  • Manage employee relations casework across matters such as performance, conduct, attendance, grievances, fitness for work and workers compensation’.
  • Provide expert guidance on remuneration, job design, employment contracts, conditions, and the interpretation of awards and agreements.
  • Partner with and coach leaders, building their confidence and capability to effectively manage people-related matters.
  • Deliver clear and practical advice on industrial relations issues, identifying risks and escalating complex matters where appropriate.
  • Drive continuous improvement by contributing to the review and enhancement of policies, procedures and people practices.
  • Stay ahead of changes in industrial and employment law, translating developments into clear, actionable insights for the business.
  • Play an active role in broader People and Culture initiatives, supporting key projects that enhance the employee experience.
