As an AI Technical Lead, you will own and evolve Silverchain’s enterprise AI platform and technical delivery of AI to enable safe, cost-effective, and scalable delivery of AI and GenAI solutions across care delivery, corporate, and operational functions. Combine architecture leadership with hands-on enablement to accelerate value, ensure compliance, and uplift team capability.

What we're looking for

To thrive in this role you'll need to have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or related fields.
• 5+ years across software/data/AI and or designing and operating AI/ML platforms at scale.
• Strong business writing and presentation skills.
• Highly organised, efficient, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working, and the ability to scope, develop, implement, measure and report on innovation activities with agility.
• Familiarity with Australian Privacy Act (APPs), clinical governance principles.

Technical:

• Cloud (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP ok).
• Containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS)
• MLOps/LLMOps (Azure ML/MLflow, model registry, feature store, vector DBs such as Azure AI Search)
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), testing strategies, policy-as-code
• Observability & model monitoring
• GenAI patterns (RAG, prompt engineering, evaluators, guardrails, content filters; agents/orchestration).

The role

As an AI Technical Lead:

• Define the end-to-end AI reference architecture (data, models, APIs, RAG, vector search, observability, security, governance).
• Select and standardise core platform components (e.g., model hosting, vector DB, feature store, prompt management, experiment tracking, model registry, CI/CD, evaluation harness, guardrails, monitoring).
• Establish environment topology (dev/test/stage/prod), multi-tenant patterns, and networking/security baselines.
• Support stand-up the platform (cloud resources, clusters, registries, monitoring, cost allocation tags).
• Design CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps) for reproducible builds for non-prod.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching; run design reviews and guilds.
• Curate standards and playbooks; champion secure-by-design and privacy-by-default.
