The opportunity

Silverchain is  looking for an experienced Corporate Giving Partner to join our Silverchain Foundation team. The Corporate Giving Partner is responsible for the development and implementation of Silverchain Foundation’s corporate giving and sponsorship program, fulfilling a key role for the ACNC-registered Silverchain Foundation.

 

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, you will work in collaboration with the Silverchain Foundation team, as well as Silverchain Group’s Strategic Communications function, and the Finance, Legal, and Research & Innovation teams to build relationships with other organisations and key stakeholders, cultivate corporate gifts, manage sponsorships, apply for grants, and provide genuine and engaging supporter care.

 

Key responsibilities

The Corporate Giving Partner has these major accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with the Philanthropy Manager and Executive Director to build and manage a portfolio of potential corporate partners supporting Silverchain Foundation’s strategic priorities.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with current and prospective corporate supporters at a major gift level.
  • Develop bespoke communications and content for stakeholders, such as briefs, invitations, proposals, grants applications and other collateral, in partnership with the Silverchain Group team.
  • Scope the market, researching and prospecting media sources, working collaboratively internally to establish and implement effective strategies for engagement.
  • Attend networking events on a regular basis to increase awareness of Silverchain Foundation and create new opportunities and supporters for Silverchain Foundation.
  • Applying analytical and research skills to prepare reports and recommendations on program goals, pipeline management, and individual cases.
  • Deliver best practice stewardship by engaging with funders to establish positive relationships for long term support, ensuring obligations are met, including but not limited to tailored impact reports and renewal proposals.
  • Applying best practice maintenance of supporter records, including engagement details, expectations, agreements and meeting notes in our CRM.

About you

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Fundraising, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Development or relevant qualifications are desirable.
  • Proven experience of five or more years in the fundraising/non-profit sector, with corporate giving experience and the successful generation of major corporate gifts and partnerships and significant revenue.
  • Strong affective commitment to Silverchain Foundation’s aims and purpose: shaping the future of care together, combining Silverchain’s community care expertise with the latest research and innovation to create a better home care system for all Australians.
  • Proven ability to build strong, respectful, and robust relationships, with a strong track record of achieving targets within set timeframes.
  • Sound knowledge of fundraising best practice, principles, legislation and ethical standards, as well as planning, scheduling, and delivering governance requirements.
  • Understand the competitive fundraising environment, moves management, giving motivations and the economic and market issues facing philanthropists and corporates in Australia.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Australia to meet major supporters and conduct stewardship activities across Australia.
