The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Team Lead to join us on a permanent basis. This role is to provide leadership and support administration team members who operate across Silverchain’s Health Business and Aged Community Care business. You will ensure effective utilisation and performance of administration resources; and delivery of best practice and support for service delivery teams to meet client needs, whilst also working actively with the 8 – 10 x administration team members who are based across multiple locations.
This role will be based at our Maddington Service Centre, with the expectation to work from Myaree Service Centre 1 day per week.
Reporting to the Manager, Operations Support, The Administration Team Lead will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating the administration team members on a daily basis – building a positive and engaged culture, entrenching Silverchain’s values, for achievement of value-based goals and key performance indicators.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct formal and informal meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets the needs of the internal and external customers; and those customers are aware of any changes within the service.
- Supervise Office Assistants by coaching and training members to ensure they are adequately skilled to complete the role efficiently, accurately and effectively, with an eye for detail and a customer centric approach
- Create a customer focused, high performance team through development of skills and regular formal and informal feedback on performance. Facilitate team and individual goal setting and bi-annual staff reviews. Engage in performance management, as required, with support from the Manager, Operations Support
- Assist the Manager, Operations Support to document and maintain processes ensuring best practice use of systems and streamlined processes are maintained.
- Champion an environment of continuous improvement among colleagues by acting on issues as they arise and or suggesting improvement to business flow as appropriate

About you
- Experience in being a proactive team player with the ability to provide clear direction. Self- motivated and able to work effectively in a busy environment with competing demands.
- Lateral thinker with patience, a can-do approach and strong problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships and facilitate employee communications and respond appropriately to queries and liaise at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team always with a team focus to participate and contribute to project teams and business unit and organisational objectives.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise workflow for the team.
- Demonstrated computer literacy in all Microsoft applications and other Silver Chain computer systems to prepare effective correspondence and documentation.
- A commitment to excellence in customer service to ensure the consistent provision of exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate experience in a regulated industry or environment, where adherence to policy and procedure for self and team is paramount.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to support and manage a small team.
- Demonstrated flexible approach to problem solving to coordinate day-to-day operations.
