The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Care Aide to deliver care to clients within the following suburbs:  Churchlands, City Beach, Claremont, Cottesloe, Crawley, Daglish, Dalkeith, Floreat, Jolimont, Mosman Park, Mt Claremont, Nedlands, Peppermint Grove, Shenton Park, Subiaco , Swanbourne, Wembley, Wembley Downs (Only applicants residing in or near the above suburbs will be considered).

 

Our Care Aides deliver exceptional care and support to our clients, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence, where possible. Responsibilities include a range of personal care tasks incl. showering, grooming, toileting etc. and other support such as medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic assistance/general housekeeping tasks and social support in the community. Care Aides will follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, therefore having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously, via a mobile app, will be essential.

About You

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Those with a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 3 months relevant care worker experience. Those without a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 6+ months relevant care worker experience (FTE).
  • Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid Drivers’ License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, will be essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.

  • Travel allowance of $0.99 per k/m
