This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated and passionate team with Australia's leading in-home and community care specialist Silverchain.
Silver Chain Hospital in the Home Service has vacancies for Registered Nurses, based out of our Birtinya Delivery Centre, and providing services to the Regional Council areas of Gympie, Noosa and the Sunshine Coast. These roles offer the opportunity to work in the community setting with a variety of hospital equivalent adult and paediatric clients.
- The service runs various shift patterns 7 days a week from 7.30am – 6.00pm.
- There is no Night shift which will help you to facilitate a work life balance!
- Permanent Full-time, Part-time and Casual Roles available
Key Responsibilities
You will be accountable for the safe delivery of hospital equivalent, evidence based clinical services to your clients in their home and on occasions, in a clinic setting. You will use your exceptional acute clinical assessment, critical thinking, problem solving and clinical competency skills and knowledge to deliver high quality and compassionate care to our clients, and making a real contribution to their health outcomes.
About you
You will need to have extensive experience in Acute Care, assessments, maintenance of care plans; managing emergencies and identification of and delivery of appropriate intervention for complex client problems.
- Nursing qualifications and current APHRA Registration
- Minimum 2 years post graduate clinical experience
- Recency of practice in acute care settings
- You will possess a broad range of clinical skills and competence including but not limited to the areas of medication management, continence assessments, wound management, and drain care
- Well-developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team environment
- Full Australian Driver Licence
