The opportunity
Ready to take your healthcare career to the next level? Join our passionate team as an Occupational Therapist and help clients to achieve physical and social goals, and live independently and confidently at home.
You’ll undertake home visits to support our Home Care Package clients — assess their motor skills and endurance, and assist them to engage in activities they find meaningful, like self-care and leisure. Enjoy flexible and autonomous work, enhance your clinical skills, and build meaningful client relationships.
This position has flexible core working hours Monday to Friday, your weekends are yours!
Key responsibilities
- Deliver client-centred care that empowers clients to live their best lives – enhancing independence, achieving personal goals, and thriving in the comfort of their own homes
- Conduct holistic client assessments and develop individualised care plans that support physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing
- Build strong, supportive relationships and communicate effectively with clients, families, care providers and health professionals to establish goals, provide support and education
- Work autonomously while staying connected to a collaborative team
- Manage your time effectively to meet client and program needs
About you
You have passion with purpose and are driven by excellence. Caring is a profession and a calling, and your work and support enriches everyone. In addition, you will have the following skills:
- AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist with an accredited degree
- Experience as an OT in a community setting, including undertaking home modifications and equipment prescription
- A passion for client-centred practice and collaborative care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
- A valid full Australian driver’s licence
