The opportunity

Are you a passionate nursing leader ready to take the reins and inspire a team to deliver exceptional palliative care in the community? We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager who’s not just about managing — but about mentoring, motivating, and making a real impact.

 

This permanent, fulltime role is an exciting opportunity to build on your existing leadership and clinical skills, whilst ensuring positive outcomes for clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and support the team to deliver best care for palliative clients and their families
  • Provide clinical support and be the point of escalation for clinical concerns
  • Collaborate and communicate across disciplines and with stakeholders to ensure seamless, person-centred care
  • Drive innovation, quality improvement, and best practice in every aspect of service delivery
  • Develop and maintain a learning environment, provide coaching and education within your team and foster a positive culture
  • Ensure the team is appropriately resourced, including management of recruitment, staffing, supplies, and budgets
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with Aged and Health care standards

About you

You have passion with purpose and are driven by excellence. Caring is a profession and a calling, and your work and support enriches everyone. In addition, you will have the following skills:

 

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge within a palliative care environment including evidence for solving complex care decisions
  • A passion for palliative care and making a difference to end-of-life experiences
  • A current AHPRA nursing registration
  • Experience as a senior nursing leader with a heart for community care
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of aged, community and health care
  • An understanding of the Scope of Nursing Practice decision making to provide effective clinical advice and supervision
  • Demonstrated experience to lead, supervise, manage and support a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire, influence, and innovate
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with strong decision making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Current Australian drivers licence
