Assistant Care Team Leader role – ACC New Starter Mentoring Programme


We are excited to have a new opportunity for an Assistant Care Team Lead, to join our mentoring program for all our Care Aide and Domestic Assistant new starters.

 

The role:



The main objective of this role is to support and guide newly hired aged community care workers during their first 90 days by supporting ongoing development with practical advice, coaching, mentoring and acting as a role model for delivering community-based services.

• Support growth in employee capability through ongoing coaching in collaboration with Care Team Leader.
• Support training and development of new employees as required by interpreting and explaining relevant process' and requirements of the business and individual roles.
• Provide and be able to demonstrate to others in a mentoring capacity Best Care to all clients in line with the Care Aide position description.

This role works Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm


What we’re looking for

  • You should share our commitment to uphold and deliver care that is safe, personal, connected, and effective – Best Care, every person, every time.
  • We are looking for those with a Certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent (or, be working towards this qualification)
  • Experience working in the community 
  • Hold a full Australian driver’s licence and own transport for work purposes
  • You will be responsible for mentoring other direct care employees and provide support to other internal stakeholders as required
  • You will have sound knowledge of best practices whilst working in the community, possess strong interpersonal skills and be flexible in your approach

  • $39.19 per hour + super
