The Corporate Communications Manager leads employee and external communications, including communications strategy and execution for senior leaders; client communications during sector reform and organisational change; ongoing management and improvement of key communications channels; and communications advice, guidance and support for colleagues across Silverchain.

What we're looking for

To thrive in this role, you'll need to: 

  • At least 10-15 years of experience in communications or corporate affairs teams within a national organisation, preferably in health and or aged care or similar community-based services. Experience in an organisation with a dispersed workforce is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice communications, with a focus on respect for and genuine engagement with the audience.
  • Ability to write using clear, concise, compelling and grammatically correct language tailored to the needs of specific internal and external audiences in Silverchain’s brand voice and style.
  • Positive and persuasive personal communication style and ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including senior leaders. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships remotely.
  • Strategic capability ability to design and deliver content to support the priorities of Silverchain Group’s strategy.

 

The role

As the Corporate Communications Manager, you will :

  • Lead, develop and deliver employee communications that support senior leadership, regulatory and compliance requirements, and strategic priorities.
  • Provide stakeholder engagement and communications support to senior executives to build and maintain Silverchain’s reputation.
  • Adhere to consistent brand style and brand voice to ensure unified, consistent messaging in high quality content for different purposes and channels.
  • Lead or contribute to the production and improvement of key channels, including the employee newsletter, client newsletter, website, intranet, podcasts and videos.
  • Apply continuous improvement to strengthen the quality, consistency and effectiveness of internal and external communications channels and strategies.
  • Coach and support colleagues in the broader Strategic Communications function to build capability and share good practice.
